Sierra’s fleming-1, a model it says tells when a caller is an AI agent
Sierra launched fleming-1 on 7 October and says it detects when the caller on a phone call is another agent. The first post we found is from @btaylor, whose X profile reads “Co-Founder @SierraPlatform”, minutes before Sierra’s own account. Sierra’s post presents it as following the Personal Agent Protocol it launched the day before.
Score 4 of 9: new 3 of 3, momentum 0 of 3, evidence 1 of 3. Momentum measured: One read only (15,087 views at 2026-10-09T15:22:14Z), so not measured and scored 0.
- Who started it
- Sierra, 7 October; the earliest post we found is by one of its founders, @btaylor
- How we found it
- X, the founder’s post and then the company’s; one route
Why it matters As more phone calls are placed by agents, telling a person from an agent may become a verification problem of its own. Every claim about the model is Sierra’s own, and we have not seen it tested.
